Patinack is starting to resemble the man in Monty Pythons Meaning of Life with respect to "one more after dinner mint". As a passionate follower of the industry I am concerned that the monster is getting a little out of control and all those sales companies, farms, breeders and trainers who are cheering now may not do so in the future if the growth is not measured and ultimately successful. Be careful of what you wish for
Personally, I don't share your misgivings about Patinack, I think their model is sound enough. We are just not used to seeing someone tackle the business so full on. It's all relative to the man's resources. By the way, Patinack's racing manager Rick Connolly rang me to deny the Size rumour, admitting he hadn't actually read what I'd written.
